As a nonprofit climate protection company, atmosfair bridges the gap between the private sector and the NGO sector. At the core of our business are CO₂ offsetting and the development of our own renewable energy projects in the Global South. In addition, we support companies with climate strategies, green energy solutions, and emissions calculations. With around 100 employees and partners worldwide, atmosfair has been successfully advocating for climate protection for 20 years. Every year, several million metric tons of CO₂ are saved. Internship in the area of Climate Protection Project development (d/f/m)
Paid internship at atmosfair
For our climate protection projects team we are looking regularly for new interns. We offer you a varied field of activity, a young and committed team and challenging tasks with plenty of room for your own creativity in a dynamically growing company. The duration of the internship is 4-6 months. Only mandatory internships are possible, matriculation is required. The internship is remunerated with 950€ per month.
Tasks
- Collaboration in the development and support of climate protection projects
- Researching country- and technology-specific information
- Collaboration in the preparation of CO₂ balances and emissions calculations
- Collaboration in the certification of projects under CDM and Gold Standard
- Preparing texts, flyers and other presentation materials to present climate protection projects to our customers
- Support with project administration
Requirements
- Studies or Degree preferably in natural, environmental or engineering sciences
- Proof of mandatory internship
- Advantageous: knowledge of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Gold Standard, emission calculations, renewable energies
- Commitment to the environment, climate and sustainability
- Routine command of key office software
- Ability to work independently, accurately and reliably
- Sensitivity to work in the context of global North-South relations
- Very good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Very good knowledge of German and English, other languages (e.g. Spanish, French) would be an advantage
